Gardening & Plant Growth Disclaimer
Last Updated: July 16, 20261. Purpose of This Disclaimer
BREEDER MAGIC designs and sells indoor gardening equipment and supplies — ceramic planters, LED grow lights, pruning shears, drip irrigation kits, potting mixes, plant supports, and related accessories. This Gardening & Plant Growth Disclaimer explains the limits of what our products, product descriptions, and care content can promise. By browsing our store at breedermagicshop.com, purchasing from our shop, or following any guidance we publish, you acknowledge and accept the terms below. This page works alongside our Terms of Service, Product Safety & Proper Use Policy, and Warranty Policy, and should be read together with them.
2. No Guarantee of Plant Growth Outcomes
We are proud of the equipment we sell, but we cannot and do not guarantee that any plant will germinate, grow, root, flower, fruit, thrive, or survive because you used a BREEDER MAGIC product. Horticultural success depends on dozens of variables outside our knowledge and control: the species and cultivar you are growing, the age and health of the plant when you acquired it, your home's light, temperature, humidity, airflow, water quality, and your own care routine. A premium ceramic planter with proper drainage improves the odds; it does not change biology. Any photographs of lush plants on our site depict possible outcomes under favorable conditions, not promised results.
3. Plants Are Living Organisms
Plants respond continuously to their environment. A pothos that flourishes in a bright Casper kitchen may sulk in a dim apartment hallway two states away. Seasonal changes, drafts from HVAC vents, hard tap water, repotting shock, pests introduced from other plants, and simple genetic variation between individual plants all influence outcomes. Because plants are living organisms, identical equipment used in two different homes can produce very different results. When our product pages describe a planter as "ideal for herbs" or a grow light as "suited to leafy greens," those statements are general suitability guidance, not assurances of performance for your specific plant.
4. Our Products Are Aids, Not Guarantees
Everything in our catalog is a tool. Drip irrigation kits deliver water on a schedule, but they cannot judge whether that schedule suits a fern versus a cactus. Pruning shears make clean cuts, but the timing and placement of a cut is the grower's decision. Moss poles and plant supports hold stems upright, but they do not cause climbing growth on their own. Potting mixes provide structure and initial nutrition, but nutrient needs change as plants mature. Treat every BREEDER MAGIC product as an aid that supports good horticultural practice, never as a substitute for observation, adjustment, and care.
5. Grow Light Coverage, PPFD, and Species Differences
Our LED grow light listings may reference coverage area, wattage, spectrum, or PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density) figures. These numbers are measured or estimated under specific test conditions — typically at a stated hanging height, at the center of the coverage footprint, in a reflective or open environment. Real-world readings fall off toward the edges of the footprint and change dramatically with mounting height, surrounding surfaces, and fixture age. More importantly, light requirements vary enormously by species: a snake plant tolerates a fraction of the light a dwarf tomato demands, and seedlings can be scorched by intensities mature plants enjoy. You are responsible for researching the light needs of your specific plants and positioning fixtures accordingly. Published PPFD values are reference points, not prescriptions.
6. Watering Guidance Is General
Any watering intervals, reservoir schedules, or drip-rate suggestions we provide — on packaging, product pages, or included instruction cards for our drip irrigation kits and self-watering planters — are general starting points. Actual water needs depend on pot size, potting mix composition, root mass, temperature, humidity, season, and species. Overwatering remains the most common cause of houseplant decline, and an automated system set incorrectly can overwater as easily as a watering can. Check soil moisture regularly, adjust drip emitters and timers to what you observe, and never rely solely on a fixed schedule. BREEDER MAGIC is not responsible for plant decline resulting from watering settings chosen by the user.
7. Soil and Potting Mix Performance Varies
Our potting mixes are blended for common indoor use cases, but soil behavior is not uniform. Drainage and moisture retention shift with pot material (a porous terracotta pot dries faster than a glazed ceramic planter), pot depth, compaction over time, ambient humidity, and how the mix is combined with amendments you add. Nutrient content in any fresh mix depletes over weeks to months, and pH can drift with the water you use. Some species — orchids, succulents, aroids, carnivorous plants — need specialized substrates that a general-purpose mix cannot replicate. Statements about mix performance describe typical behavior, not a warranty of results in your conditions.
8. Not Agricultural or Professional Horticultural Advice
Content published by BREEDER MAGIC — including product descriptions, care tips, blog articles, buying guides, and email newsletters — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not agricultural, botanical, agronomic, or professional horticultural advice, and it is not tailored to your plants, region, or growing setup. For commercial growing operations, valuable specimen plants, suspected disease outbreaks, or regulatory questions, consult a qualified horticulturist, certified arborist, or your local cooperative extension service. Nothing on our site creates a professional advisory relationship between you and BREEDER MAGIC.
9. Pet and Child Safety Around Plants
BREEDER MAGIC sells gardening equipment — we do not sell live plants, seeds, or cuttings. The plants you choose to grow in our planters or under our grow lights are entirely your selection, and their toxicity profile is your responsibility to research. Many popular houseplants (including pothos, philodendron, dieffenbachia, sago palm, and certain lilies) are toxic to cats, dogs, or humans if chewed or ingested. Please verify the safety of every plant in your home against a reputable reference before placing it within reach of children or pets. Separately, our equipment itself must be used sensibly around little hands and paws: keep pruning shears latched and stored away, route grow light cords out of reach, secure heavy ceramic planters against tipping, and keep potting mix bags sealed. See our Product Safety & Proper Use Policy for detailed equipment guidance.
10. Allergy Note
Handling potting mixes, fertilizers, plant material, and even natural-fiber accessories can trigger allergic reactions or skin and respiratory irritation in sensitive individuals. Potting media may contain dust, compost, bark fines, perlite particles, or naturally occurring mold spores. We recommend wearing gloves when repotting, working in a ventilated area, avoiding inhalation of dry mix dust, and washing hands after gardening. If you have known allergies to molds, dust, or plant material, take appropriate precautions or consult a physician before use. Discontinue use and seek medical advice if you experience a reaction.
11. Results Vary From Grower to Grower
Customer reviews, testimonials, and photos shared on our site or social channels reflect individual experiences. They are genuine, but they are not typical-results claims and should not be read as a promise that you will achieve the same growth, bloom, or harvest. Two customers using the same LED grow light and the same potting mix can see different outcomes because their homes, habits, and plants differ. We encourage experimentation, patient observation, and small adjustments — that is how good indoor gardens are actually built.
12. No Liability for Plant Loss
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BREEDER MAGIC is not liable for the loss, decline, disease, or death of any plant, for failed germination or propagation, for lost harvests, or for any indirect or consequential damages connected to plant outcomes, even where our products were used as directed. Our responsibility for defects in the products themselves is described in our Warranty Policy and Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy: if a planter arrives cracked or a grow light fails prematurely, we will make it right. What we cannot underwrite is the biological outcome of your garden. Nothing in this section limits rights that consumer protection law grants you and that cannot be waived.
